News Stories- Play for a day
Our Y6s had great fun learning all about World War II during Play for a day. The other classes really enjoyed their drama performance too! - Y6 visit to Derby Air Field
As part of their WW II topic our Y6s visited Derby Air Field. They enjoyed learning about how a jet engine works and working in teams to design and build a model plane. - Rainbow Walk

Our pupils enjoyed learning about Muslim cultures and traditions this week. They dressed up, listened to music, took part in a Muslim marriage ceremony and asked lots of questions. - Defibrullator Installed
We are delighted to inform you that we have had a Defibrullator installed on the from of the school building. Thanks to Ashover Juniors and The Medical Centre for contributing to the costs. - Mode Shift Stars Bronze Award
I am delighted to inform you that Ashover Primary School has achieved the Bronze Award from Mode Shift Stars for our commitment to sustainable travel and road safety. - Derby Refugee Centre Support
Some pupils have visited the Derby Refugee Centre to take donations of food and toys. They had a tour of the centre and met some of the volunteers and refugees. - Story Writing Competition
Congratulations to Catherine, Olive and Beatrice for winning the Derby Market Hall story writing competition and winning musical instruments for our school. - Restart a Heart
The children have had a visit from the Fire Safety Team to learn CPR in the event of an emergency. - Project Playground
Our Sponsored Rainbow Walk raised an amazing £2400 which takes our playground resurfacing fund to £12000. Well done to all the children for taking part and to all those who so generously made donations.
